Spent some time this week thinking about how others have shaped my path

Hello Mishmosh readers!
I hope everyone is having a great week!
We’ve had a bumpy few weeks in the Feidelson household throughout the month of November. I’m still taking time to process everything which is why I’m not openly sharing everything I’ve experienced and felt. I tend to internalize my stress, letting my body absorb the stress before my mind can understand how I actually feel. Eventually I want to share about my latest ups and downs. It’s my hope that it can create a conversation or offer solitude to someone going through a similar experience.
In some time, I think I’ll be able to reflect and look back on this time to understand how it weaves into our family’s story.
Maybe it’s obvious after stating the above, but something about me you should know is that I love stories! One of my favorite podcasts is How I Built This because I love the way the interviewer crafts a whole story throughout the course of the interview. While the interview is centered around how a company started and grew over time, you get more than that. You learn about the founder, their background, inspiration, challenges, and path to success.
When I admire someone, I find it to be obsession-lite. I love to follow a person’s story, getting to know details about their past and how they got to where they are today. I love to know what they’re working on or trying. I think this is because it inspires me to work on or try similar things!
Thinking about how my latest bumpy road is crafting my story, lately I have been reflecting on people who have inspired me over time. I decided to make a list. Listing out people I admire was such an interesting exercise to do because it really illustrated the ebb and flow of the stages of my life.
If I’ve looked up to someone at one point or another, there’s a good chance I still do! But, there’s also a good chance that my attention has shifted or redirected to someone or something else that feels more relevant to my life. It really shows the story of my life through the lens of what I’m thinking about or paying attention to.
I think if I share my list my thought process will make more sense. I’ve listed each person in chronological order of when they came into my life. For each, I will share who they are, around when I started to pay attention to them, and why I admire this person.
*side note - my family and friends inspire me every day; they’re actually my BIGGEST source of inspiration and admiration. There’s too much to unpack here, so I decided to stick to people outside my family and friends!
