This week will be short and sweet, as it’s a pre-scheduled post from me, Gabby, as I’m currently jaunting around FRANCE! I’m writing this just a week or so before I head out and I can’t tell you how excited I am. This is my first every true two-week vacation. Usually, if I’m gone from NYC for two weeks, I’m visiting family in GLP or Florida and balancing working remotely with family time. This trip, I’m spending five days with my mama in Baden-Baden and Paris, then celebrating Rachel and Danny’s wedding (I’m likely currently en route from Paris to Cannes as you read this), and then spending 8 days doing the Tour de Mont Blanc. Expect a major recap upon my return…

In the meantime, I thought I’d share some updates on my fashion “transformation”. Substack has opened me up to a whole new way of thinking about how I dress. From my obsession with oversized pants, to understanding how the “wrong” shoe is actually always the right shoe and so much more, I’ve started to actually think about what I put on each day for work. My coworkers would laugh reading this because I always tell them “I’m actually trying really hard now” anytime they compliment my outfit.

This outfit is actually just shown here because it was an attempted selfie with my Merci bag, which my amazing boss, Kara, so kindly gifted to me. I actually use it every single day and am not sure who I was before I got it. Worn up top is my new Alex Mill Men’s button down (inspired by Upper East Side mom-street-fashion), and a Target tank top. Carrying Sunny’s goodies is my trusty cross body. It may seem excessive for my dog-walking bag, but it was a gift from my mom, carries so much and literally never looks dirty no matter how many dogs jump on me at the park. Worn, but not show, are my Citizen pants (which I found on Poshmark thankyouverymuch) and Keds.

Pulled together with my UVA Basketball Natty Champ special edition hat. I hosted a class at WeWork back in the day for a tour and this hat was my thank you from them. I’ve clearly worn it to death (supposed to be navy blue), but I don’t care. Go HOOS!

Ahhh! Here I am! A true New Yorker. Dressing in all black. I have to say, I don’t really know a time when I dove into this and I’m sad I haven’t done it earlier. I think I look quite chic!
